I usually share tried-and-true recipes that I’ve made over and over. But I also love to try new recipes. I literally have hundreds of them pinned to various Pinterest boards. You might have a problem if you have to have 7 separate boards to keep up with all the food you want to one day make and eat….
Some friends recently introduced us to Grandma’s pizza from a local place called Cristo’s. It has a thin crust with crispy edges, and plops of super flavorful, garlicky-basil-ly sauce on top of the cheese. I didn’t know it was a real thing in NY until I came across this recipe from Ezra Pound Cake! We make pizza a couple times a month, so on Friday I gave homemade Grandma’s pizza a whirl. The crust was just like Cristo’s, and I loved that the dough went straight from the mixer bowl onto the pan, without getting my counters messy like the dough I usually make! I think next time, I’ll play around with the sauce – maybe try crushed tomatoes instead of diced, and try to up the flavor intensity a little. But we’ll definitely use this recipe as a launching pad for future Grandma’s pizzas!
What are you experimenting with in your kitchen? And I must know if you’ve ever experienced a Grandma’s pizza! Leave me a comment, they bring me great joy!

Um, so I just counted my Pinterest recipes boards and I have 30! So don’t feel so bad about 7 🙂
I love making new recipes and I love having a new blog to follow for new recipes (yours!). So far we have loved your Nana’s potato soup and the crispy black bean tacos! Thanks, Bet!

Haha, Amy! Okay, you win! 😉 To be honest, I could probably use some more board specificity to eliminate aimless scrolling….So glad you guys liked the soup and tacos!!
